Banner - Local Plan

The latest version of the Draft Local Plan was approved for publication at a meeting of Uttlesford District Council on 19 June.

Known as the 'Regulation 19 Pre-submission Local Plan', this is the final stage before the plan is submitted to the government for independent examination.

Residents and other interested parties are invited to put forward their views on the plan. 

Comments need to be received by 5pm on 13 August 2018.


How to view to the pre-submission document

The Regulation 19 Pre-submission Local Plan can be read online via the council website.

Paper copies of the document are also available to view at:

  • Uttlesford District Council's Offices in Saffron Walden
  • The council's Customer Service desk at Great Dunmow Library
  • Thaxted Community Information Centre
  • Saffron Walden Library
  • Mobile libraries

Copies have also been distributed to town and parish councils.

The quickest and easiest way to respond to the Regulation 19 Pre-submission Local Plan is via the online consultation portal, by clicking on the following link:

Alongside the published plan is a form which is designed to help everyone follow the guidelines and submit comments in the right way for the planning inspector.

Via email: The comments form is available to download from the council website. Responses should be sent to the Planning Policy Team.

Via post: A paper copy of the comments form can be used, which is available from the website or the District Council Offices or libraries. Responses should be sent to: Planning Policy Team, Uttlesford District Council, London Road, Saffron Walden CB11 4ER.

  1. The highest cost recorded was $26.5 million. These rulings tell us that employers have a responsibility to their customers and employees alike to demonstrate a duty of care when bringing on a new team member.
